Geoff and I worked together on a iOS project for several months. Geoff is a solid iOS developer and has a great grasp on applying the correct solutions for a given project. He was very detail oriented; his code was indicative of someone that cares greatly for his craft. For several years, I had heard his name in the Java community and it was good to finally work with him on an iOS project.

He is definitely in my list of top architects and technologists, and earns high marks as a trainer as well. Probably one of Geoff's most valuable attributes is that he is a contrarian -- he regularly expresses opinions and suggestions in a way that makes you think beyond what has currently been considered. This is invaluable from both a business and a technical perspective. My only complaint was that I never had much chance to sell his services -- he was always in too much demand!

I partnered with Geoff in developing a predictive Capacity Modeling process on a virtualized platform at Nationwide. In the role of an Infrastructure Architect, Geoff displayed admirable leadership traits by solving important problems related to the modeling process, tools, metrics validation and several others. His technical knowledge, high energy and enthusiasm did not let the effort to die inspite of many obstacles and ultimately led to its successful proof of concept on a very resource intensive application with a surprisingly high forecast accuracy.
